Testimonials: “I chose to attend the CFS Surveyor course to improve my professional credentials and my understanding of the FEMA National Flood Insurance Program. Both of my goals were achieved by attending this course. The coordinators of this course have put together an expert collection of both State and Federal agencies to answer almost any question imaginable. This course is a must have for any Surveyor performing Elevation Certificates and LOMC applications.” -Tyrone LaRue, RLS, CFS, Iron Mountain Survey Co. Inc.

I would be remiss if I tried to sell the CFS certification class as a “cake walk”. It is anything but that. However, with that being said, there are many rewards to be gained from passing the class and earning the CFS certification, including the benefits of the CFS website as well as the Tennessee Association of Professional Surveyors website. With the rising costs of individual polices and with municipalities taking down properties in communities that continue to flood repeatedly, our business has developed a niche market. Most importantly, the knowledge earned through this class can be shared and utilized among our peers working in or around the floodplains and floodways. -Douglas Chandler, RLS, CFS, GSE Consulting Engineers.

I think this class should be required before anyone (that is authorized) is allowed to fill out and stamp elevation certificates. Even if you do not practice in Tennessee it is well worth it. Everyone that I talked to during the seminar said that they learned something. -Don Spencer, RLS, CFS, Spencer Surveying.
